Master Potter's last adventure will be chronicled in July in his 7th and final book. There is a great deal of discussion about his possible death,
Many are wondering if Harry's death will "tramatize" children around the world. That got me thinking Shocked

So many of our traditional stories have been changed in the last few decades Evil or Very Mad making every thing nice in the end. The evil queen doesn't dance to her death in red hot iron shoes, but she see's she is bad and joins the party. Cinderella's sister's eyes remain in their head and they move into the palace, or maybe they become servants. And the giant often has time to climb back up the beanstalk Rolling Eyes

Have we changed so much that we can no longer tolerate Harry Potter dying Question (BTW-I don't think he will die and James is still alive)

It would be difficult to take the death of Harry when he's always been the underdog we are pulling for. However it depends on how she writes it. If he id the propelling force and cool with it, I think it could be done.

Personally I like happy endings.

By the time she killed Dumbledore I was so mad at him, it didn't bother me at all.

*shrugs*

So it all depends!

LOL.

I burned out on the 5th book. It was so clearly written for a movie that I didn't want to read it anymore. Up to then, I was hooked and really enjoyed the books.

Perhaps she'll make him come back to life as a wizard like Dumbledore? I mean, all those wizardly folks aren't really alive, are they? I see him as head of the school of wizardry, but after having died.

It's a shame that the movies began before the books were finshed. I really think it colored her writing, and influenced the plots.

It's been a while since I read the last book. I liked it though. Why? Because Harry finally seemed comfortable with himself. He was assertive and didn't seem to care as much what all the jerks thought about him or how they treated him.
