I like the new format of the email bulletin, although I was not expecting the left hand column of links to access different pages. I hope people realize they have to click there to get beyond the first page.

The re-design reminded me about a few questions I have about the bulletin:

1. Why does "my neck of the woods" include locations more than two thousand miles from my home? That's an awfully big woods!

2. What is Faye Wooden's column for? It appears under "Membership" but its not clear to me what I'm supposed to learn about being a member. It's not news, but it is listed with other NSN member news.
(However, I am glad her column is now called "Storytelling Reflections." When it didn't have a name, it confused me even more. And when it was called "Member Forum" or "Bulletin Member Forum" I got confused because to me, this bulletin board is a forum.

Could Faye's column have a tagline that explains what her column is for?

Hey Tim,

The bulletin is now a webpage. It used to be just the one page, and we found that it was hard for people to navigate, especially those on dial up. This way each page will load faster and I think, its organized better. We are still fine tuning it. This new layout is still new and may change some more to make it easier.

The answer to the Your Neck of the Woods question. This is a place for NSN to highlight events for members. I randomly pick them from our calendar. I try to make it a diverse list. Although, I usually don't have too much to pick from (so if you have events please post them Smile). I think its important for NSN to help members as much as we can with promoting events and such. It would be nearly impossible to create a personalized Your Neck of the Woods section for each member (in order to get them closer to your home). So normally I try to space them out across the US (and sometimes internationally). So yes it is a Big Woods Smile.

Faye's column is to give advice to other members. Of course we can rename it...do you have an idea to make others understand the point better? I would love to hear any ideas.

Let me know if I didn't articulate the answers well Smile. Thanks!

Why not devide Your neck of the Woods into 4 or 5 regional categories. A reader could scroll down to their section and see what IS IN THEIR NECK OF THE WOODS.

Great Idea Rivka! I will try. Hopefully people will start listing their events more, so I can find enough Smile.
