I'm hoping that the lack of posts on this forum means everyone is busy telling stories!

In the meantime, I just wanted to point y'all to our second podcast: http://wrensnest.libsyn.com/

A third one will be online shortly, as our producer (working for free) has freed up some time recently to help us out a little more.

The material in the podcast may be a little elementary for most of the professional storytellers out there, but I do think y'all might be interested in hearing our storyteller, Miss Woodie Persons, tell "Brer Rabbit Takes a Ride." The story starts around 5:50 and is in its entirety. Now, maybe I'm a bit naive, but Miss Woodie, who is a school teacher by trade, constantly blows my mind with her ability. At the same time, she doesn't take her show on the road much, so you might not get a chance to hear her elsewhere. Enjoy!

I have to give props to Martha Escudero in Barcelona. She has been running "Contes i Cuentos," a storytelling series for adults at the Harlem Jazz Club since 1998. And since at least August, she's been posting videos of tellers at the Contes i Cuentos website, http://www.contesicuentos.com/video.htm , as well as on YouTube. So she joins the Wrens Nest in giving audiences a taste of what they will find via their internet connection.
